Class of 2011

I am so proud of my baby sister, Nicole. She graduated with presidential honors this spring from Buffalo High School! In the fall she is going to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, and from what I've heard, she is planning on studying fine arts (probably painting) and French. Ben, Jack and I went to her Graduation Ceremony on Friday June 10th with my mom and dad. It felt a little weird to be back at the high school and see so many familiar faces. But, the ceremony was very nice!
There were so many people there!
And there she is in the sea of purple! Ben caught them throwing their caps...
FINALLY DONE!!!! (with highschool)
the proud parents...
and sister...
Nicole decided she didn't want a big graduation open house, so my parents put together a small get-together for close family and a few friends last Friday.
Some of Nicole's paintings and sculptures were displayed through the house, so I snapped a few shots...
We were glad it didn't rain so we could talk and eat outside.
Grandma Shirley made Nicole an AMAZING picture quilt!
You can tell she loves it :)
And of course Jack was getting passed around. (sorry I didn't get more pictures of this!)
I LOVE YOU NICOLE! And i'm so proud of you.

Fathers Day Fun

Yesterday was Ben's first fathers day... We had a relaxing morning and went out to Bruegers for breakfast bagels.
Then, my Dad and Nicole came over and we headed to Lake Calhoun!
Jack has started to prefer his fingers over the pacifier...
We enjoyed fish tacos at the "Tin Fish" for lunch...
Next, we drove over the Minnehaha Park to take a look at the falls and walk around...
Pretty...

3 Months Old

Jack,
At the beginning of this year I could only dream of what you would look like and who you would be. All of a sudden you are 3 months old! (technically yesterday.) It's amazing to me how much you have grown in these first few months of your life.
Let me tell you a little bit about yourself...
You are a happy baby! My favorite things are when you smile, laugh and talk to me. I think you are going to be a talkative little boy. You can already keep up a conversation with anyone who will listen (including your toys and Koty).
From the front it looks like you are bald, but you have fine, wispy red hair. Just like Daddy.
You love sleeping on his chest...
... and when you're starting to fall asleep, you get really lazy eyes.
You always enjoy bath time! I'm sure you will be playing with your rubber duckies before I know it.
You do so well on your tummy! You can scoot from one side of the blanket to the other pretty quickly. I think you will be crawling soon! Whenever you have tummy time, Koty is right there with you.
You love to stand a look around. You are so curious! I think thats what the surprised look on your face is all the time... curiousity :)
You can finally sit up in the bouncy chair. Just look at how much you love it!
Right now you are working on holding onto toys. Everything you grab goes straight to your mouth! I love you Jack.
